Worship

Worship is a time where our deepest values and expressions of the heart can be made visible regarding our beliefs and relationship with God. As a church, First United Methodist Church of Elon engages people of all ages in unique worship opportunities that are Christ centered, biblically rooted, and culturally relevant to develop stronger disciples of Jesus Christ. Our focus is first on God and then on our relationship with Him. It is a time for praise, adoration, and thanksgiving to the One who saved us from the sins of this world. This is a time where we, as a community, can come together in faith and share in all that God has given and done for us!

Sunday Morning Worship

Infant/Toddler Nursery

An Infant/Toddler Nursery is provided during Sunday School and all worship services so that parents may focus on worshiping God. Sunday School begins at age three and is filled with age-appropriate activities that teach God’s love in a warm and caring environment.

Children’s Worship

Children are included in our morning worship service through a “mini-lesson” based on the sermon; after which Preschool/Kindergarten aged children return to the Sunday School area for their own worship service. Worship bags with quiet age appropriate activities are available for school aged children during the worship service.

Music

Chancel Choir

Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesdays from 7:15 - 8:15 pm. It’s always a good time to join the choir! Music reading skills are not required, just a love for music and a willingness to serve the Lord through music. Handbell Choir

Handbell Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:15 pm, except during the months of June, July and August.

Praise Band

Praise Band rehearses at 9:30 am each Sunday. We need your voice and/or your instrument to lead us in praising God. Please contact our Praise Band Director, Joel Gilliam by calling the church office at (336) 584-5263.
